Why should I add my photograph to my profile?
A photograph adds a ‘face’ to the words and makes your profile alive. It allows you to be featured in more search results. And most importantly, it also increases your profile views. Adding your photograph also means that you can be featured on the Re-marriage.com homepage which will increase more responses to your profile, you even get to be a part of the photo album and to top it all - this is absolutely free.

Is it safe to add my photos? Won't my privacy be affected?
Yes, it is absolutely safe to add your photos and no your privacy will not be violated in any way whatsoever. Photographs published on the site are not used anywhere else for any other purpose. Your photograph does not affect your privacy at all, so long as you follow the instructions provided on the site and NOT give out your contact information in public.
Re-marriage.com ensures that you have complete control over your privacy. All your photos are watermarked, coded and right click is disabled so that no one can easily save or download your photo.

What privacy options are available to protect photos?
There are two types of privacy options to protect your photos:

'Password Protected' You can protect your photo with a password. In order to view your photograph other members will require the password. You can decide who to give out the password to and you can also change your password regularly. |

'Visible on accept' You can display your photo only to members you express interest in or if you accept them. |
You can change your photo display settings whenever you want to from Manage Photos.

How do I add my photo to my profile on Re-marriage.com?
To add a photo to your profile, just follow the simple steps:

Login to your Re-marriage Account |

Under My Profile click the "Manage Photos" option. |

Click the browse button and select the photo file from your computer. |
|
Make sure that the photo file is not more than 10MB in size. |

Click the 'Upload Photos' button to upload your photo. |

I don't have a digital photo of myself. I have a normal non-digital photograph. Can I add it to my profile on Re-marriage.com? How?
Yes, you can visit any nearest cyber cafe and get your photos scanned and email us to: photos@re-marriage.com. Please mention your profile id in the email. After receiving your photos we will enhance, optimize and upload your photograph and attach it to your profile. We require about 24 hours to upload it. You will be notified via email once we attach your photograph to your profile.

What kind of photograph should I choose?
There are several things you should keep in mind while choosing your photograph. Your main photograph appears on your main profile page and a smaller version shows up in the search results. Re-marriage.com may resize or even crop your primary photo to create that smaller image.

Select a photograph that is bright and colourful. Photographs in general tend to become darker when seen on the computer which is why night time photographs don't show up as well. Select a photograph that is preferably taken outdoors, in the natural light. |

Choose a solo photograph in which your face is clearly visible. Avoid publishing a group photograph because it encourages comparisons which may not always be to your advantage. |

A professionally clicked photograph is always better than one you’ve clicked at random. Professionals know how to adjust the angle and lighting to make you look your best. So even if you have to get one clicked just for this purpose, it’s well worth the effort. |

If you think you are not very good looking. It is still a good idea to add your photograph because beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Adding your photograph greatly increases the responses to your profile. |

Your face must be clearly visible in your photo if its blurred beyond recognition it will be rejected and do not post caricatures or copyrighted images. Nudity or obscenity or other vulgarity in photographs will not be accepted. |

While uploading my photograph, I saw options called .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, .BMP or .TIFF. What do they mean?
.JPG, .GIF, .PNG, .BMP or .TIFF are the most popular digital image formats on the internet. Re-marriage.com accepts only these image formats for attaching to your profile. Check the format of your digital photo and select the correct option. If you're not sure about the format of your photo, check the file name extension of your photo file. If it ends in .jpg, .gif, .png, .bmp or .tiff then you can select and upload.

I got an error while uploading my photograph. What could be the reason?
One of the reasons for the error might be that you did not select the .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, .BMP or .TIFF option. You must choose the correct option. We do not accept digital photo files that are more than 10MB in size. Your photo file must be in either .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, .BMP or .TIFF format. Re-marriage.com does not support other file formats.

I uploaded my photo but it is still not visible in my profile. Why?
Re-marriage.com screens all photographs uploaded by members. While we allow members the ability to upload their photographs, we reserve the right to remove/delete any photograph that violates socially accepted norms of decency and/or contains any form of nudity. This may even include beach photographs of our members. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you appreciate our efforts for protecting our members.
It is possible that there was some technical problem/error at the time of uploading the photograph. In which case we request that you try the same procedure once again.

How do I change my photo in my profile on Re-marriage.com?
To change your photo on Re-marriage.com you need to have a digital photo (a scanned photo of yourself on the computer/digital camera). If you do not have a digital photo, please read further instructions. If you do have a digital photo all you need to do is:
The photograph you had stored earlier will automatically be deleted and replaced with the new one you upload. Re-marriage.com stores only three photographs per profile.

You cannot remove your main photo on Re-marriage.com but you can replace the current main photo with the new one. You can remove your album photos permanently.
